FIREFIGHTERS were called to an industrial estate in Eye today after a blaze broke out.

Crews from Stradbroke and Diss were called to the Mid Suffolk Business Park at around 9am.

The fire was discovered in a workshop at MRCT Ltd in Potash Lane and the building was evacuated.

The crews found a set of cylinders, including oxygen cylinders at the rear of the yard, affected by heat from the nearby flames.

They used a thermal imaging camera to check for any other outbreaks of fire.

By 9.35am firefighters had safely removed the cylinders, cooling them for at least an hour.

Police officers were called to help with traffic control.
