Taking a customer-centred, jargon-free approach, Fairhurst Menuhin has established itself as a trusted local law firm

Fairhurst Menuhin & Co. is a forward-thinking law firm, dedicated to serving the local community. The firm has a long-established presence in Sudbury, and has been a feature of the town’s high street for many years. Recently, the firm has moved to new ground floor offices in King Street, making the branch more accessible for less mobile clients, and conveniently placed for car parking and town centre amenities.

Anyone who walks through the door can be assured of a first-rate, efficient service from FM&C’s team of experienced and enthusiastic solicitors, who provide peace of mind in often stressful situations. The firm’s solicitors offer a wealth of experience across all areas of law – from family matters, conveyancing and commercial issues, to wills, probate, criminal and civil law.

The Sudbury office is led by Michelle Chemli, who began working for an international law firm in 1995 before qualifying as a solicitor in 2003. Michelle has vast experience in the fields of employers’ liability and public liability litigation and now focuses her skills on family law. Michelle prides herself on tactfully negotiating the best possible outcome for clients who are dealing with the emotional and financial repercussions of separation, divorce and child arrangements. She also has strong connections to Sudbury, and is currently a trustee of two local charities concerned with maintaining and protecting the Sudbury Common Lands and water meadows.

The firm’s conveyancing department is led by Sarah-Jane Money, who qualified as a solicitor in 1999. Sarah-Jane leads a dynamic team which offers an unrivalled, efficient and competitive service to clients wishing to buy and sell their homes. As well as her experience in residential conveyancing, Sarah-Jane also deals with commercial property, planning applications and licensing.

Peter Herriott is a solicitor and head of FM&C’s private client department, with over 30 years’ experience working in wills, probate and tax. Peter is committed to delivering a top-class service for families following bereavement while also protecting the interests of children and ensuring that family assets pass safely from one generation to the next.

Julia Gooch is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and has over 25 years’ experience in criminal law. FM&C can also offer legal aid for certain criminal matters.

Aaron Menuhin is the operations partner at FM&C and specialises in commercial law and litigation. Aaron has expertise in commercial property, company acquisitions, cross border contracts and contract disputes as well as a range of litigation issues.

The firm’s Sudbury clients can be sure of a warm welcome from the friendly support staff, which includes Julia Harrington and Nicola Alleston, who have both lived and worked within the local community for many years.

FM&C’s Sudbury office is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm on weekdays. Weekend appointments can be arranged by mutual agreement, and home visits are available for less mobile clients.
