Family pay tribute to 'special' Kate
A DEVASTATED family today paid a moving tribute to one of the young women killed in a horror accident in Ipswich.
A DEVASTATED family today paid a moving tribute to one of the young women killed in a horror accident in Ipswich.
Kate Wasyluk and childhood pal Emma Harold, 26, died in the early hours of Saturday morning after they were involved in a collision with a car in Foxhall Road.
Emma's sister, Rebecca, 25, was seriously injured and remains in intensive care at Ipswich Hospital where she is in a critical but stable condition.
Today, Miss Wasyluk's family issued a heartfelt tribute, describing the 25-year-old as “very special”.
They said: “Our Kate was taken from us a few days ago. As a family we would like to express our thanks to all the people who have left flowers and messages.
“Kate was a very special person to those who loved her unconditionally.

“She was also a private person. Therefore, although we could fill your newspaper with the magical things Kate brought to us, we would wish to keep these feelings within the family.”
Miss Wasyluk's family also issued their thanks to those who helped in the immediate aftermath of the accident and who have offered comfort since the tragedy.
“One big thank you to Matt (Kate's boyfriend) for making Kate so happy. Our love and thoughts are with Emma and Beccy's family.
“We would like to thank specifically Graham Newson and Terry Beddington of Suffolk Constabulary, you have given us so much support.
“Also sincere thanks to all the emergency services in trying to help Kate, especially the paramedics and police.”
