THE family of a woman allegedly murdered in Bury St Edmunds have been tracked down by the police and told of the incident.
Police were yesterday desperately trying to locate the family of the woman in her 30s who was found in Bull Rush Crescent, Bury, at 2.45am on Wednesday. She died later at West Suffolk Hospital.
Formal identification of the woman, who once worked as a teaching assistant at King Edward VI School in Bury, will be carried out later this morning.
The 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder is still at West Suffolk Hospital being treated for injuries and has not yet been questioned.
