44 pupils from the school in Woodbridge competed in the National Junior Indoor Rowing Championships this month at the Lee Valley Athletics Stadium in London.
The event is the world’s biggest indoor rowing competition with 3000 competitors from school year’s 7 -13 taking part. 25 personal bests were achieved by students from the school with a national 2nd place, two 5th places and four top 10 places all coming within the space of the competition.
At the event Farlingaye was up against schools who have full time coaches and six times the equipment available in Woodbridge.
A spokesperson for the school said: “The determination and the commitment of Farlingaye’s rowers has helped them achieve great results nationally.”
