A VAN driver arrested following a collision that left a motorcyclist dead has been bailed until later this month.
The crash happened shortly before 8.30am on Friday when a black Suzuki GSXR and a green Ford Transit collided on Braxted Park Road, Great Braxted.
The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man from Colchester, was conveyed to Broomfield Hospital after sustaining serious head injuries. He died shortly after arriving.
The van driver, a 43-year-old man from Basildon, was uninjured.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and has been released on police bail until June 21.
