COMMUTERS were facing delays of up to 30 minutes today after a signalling problem in Essex affected services from London Liverpool Street to Norwich.
National Express East Anglia said train services on all routes via Witham were being disrupted due to a problem with what it called “line-side equipment”.
It said engineers were working as fast as possible to restore services to normal but added that short notice alterations, cancellations and delays of up to 30 minutes could be expected for services in both directions.
The first train affected was the 5.40am from Norwich to Liverpool Street and the problem had a knock-on impact throughout the morning.
