A five-year-old girl has sustained bruising following a collision involving a mobility scooter on Undercliff Road West in Felixstowe.
The girl was with her grandparents when the incident happened on the prom, close to the pier, just before 2.30pm on Tuesday, August 6.
Police were alerted by the ambulance service who attended to check over the young girl.
The mobility scooter rider failed to stop at the scene and police are appealing for him, or anyone who knows who he is, to come forward.
He is described as being in his 60s to 70s, around 15 to 16 stone, with greying hair and it is thought it may have been a light-coloured mobility scooter.
Anyone who saw the incident or who has any information about the rider of the mobility scooter is asked to call Pc Paul Smith at Felixstowe on 101.
