A DEAD porpoise was found washed up on the beach at Felixstowe Ferry this morning – the fourth one to be found in the resort in about a month.

The Felixstowe coastguard team was sent to the scene, near the Martello Tower, at 10am on Saturday.

A spokeswoman for Thames Coastguard said the animal was decomposing and the council had been informed.

Earlier this month, walkers discovered two carcasses.

One was on the main beach at Felixstowe, which was incomplete and decomposed, and the other at Felixstowe Ferry, where the carcass was described as being in good condition.
