Two fire crews from Felixstowe fought a house blaze in the town this morning.

They arrived at the propery in Church Gardens just before 9.15am to find the first floor well alight.

No-one was trapped in the building but the ambulance was called to treat one casualty suffering with minor burns.

The Fire Emergency Support Vehicle was also requested by the Red Cross to provide emotional and practical support to the occupants.

The fire, which Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service say started accidentally. was brought under control at around 10:30am using one hose reel.
