A MAN was rescued from a house fire in the early hours of the morning.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a house fire with a person in the property in Cobbold Road, Felixstowe, just after 12.25am and sent three crews to the scene.

On arrival the crews found a fire in the kitchen and led a man to safety.

He was then treated by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames and bring it under control by 12.50am.
