Five beach huts on Felixstowe seafront have been burgled or damaged – and police are urging witnesses to come forward.

Officers said a hut at Manor Road was broken into on June 5 or 6 and it appeared someone may have then slept inside. Nothing was stolen.

Two other huts nearby were also damaged between May 30 and June 6, with the doors being forced, although nothing appears to have been taken.

Two huts in Sea Road, near Tacon Road, were also forced open in the early hours of Saturday with a box of matches taken from one.

Anyone with information about the incidents should call PC Neil Partridge at Felixstowe on 101.
