TWO fire crews were called after smoke was found coming from an electricity meter.
Firefighters arrived at the house in Berners Road, Felixstowe, shortly after 2.50am.
Using a dry power extinguisher the incident was brought under control by 3.15am.
UK Power Networks were also asked to attend.
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “At 3.15am today, UK Power Networks was contacted by the fire service in connection with an incident at a property in Berners Road, Felixstowe, which affected electrical equipment.
“Our engineers attended the scene shortly afterwards and helped the fire crew with their work. The engineers left the property at 5am.
“We continue to assist the fire service with their investigations.”
