A 17-year-old boy from Ipswich who was arrested in connection with the rape of an elderly woman in Felixstowe has had his bail cancelled.

He will face no further police action in relation to this offence.

He was arrested on Sunday after a woman reported that someone had broken into her flat and sexually assaulted her in the Walton area of the town.

Adrian Udrea, 38 and from Blyford Way in Felixstowe, has since been charged with rape, burglary and assault and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning. He has been remanded in custody.
