TWO cars have today crashed in Felixstowe, leaving one person trapped in the wreckage, the fire service have said.

The brigade were called at about 12.30pm to the accident in Runnacles Way.

One crew from Felixstowe, an emergency rescue vehicle from Princes Street in Ipswich and another crew from Stowmarket were sent to the scene.

The crews stabilised the cars allowing paramedics to assess the woman trapped in the car.

A spokesman for Suffolk police said the woman is reported to have an arm injury.

He said the cars involved, a Land Rover and Proton, are “jammed together”, blocking the road.

The fire service had released the woman from the wreckage by 12.46pm and she was taken to hospital by ambulance.
