James Cameron and Will Gibbs took their GCSE Maths exams a year early and both scored the top grade of 9.

“I am just really, really pleased,” said James,” I really like maths.

“I really enjoyed the exam.”

James said he was happy to be able to get the exam out of the way, allowing him to focus on his A-Level maths course which he will start in September.

“It’s going to help me with my exams too,” said James.

He said that he had been well supported by Mr Jones and Mr Wanner from the school.

It’s not the first time that someone in James’ family has taken an exam early.

Quite coincidentally James’ mum also took her GCE maths early while she was at school, mirroring her son’s success.

Mrs Cameron said that the school letting him take his exam early was a recognition of his abilities.
