Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash in Tuddenham Road, near to the junction with Church Lane during the morning rush hour.

Police officers received reports of the accident at around 8.35am to a crash involving a silver Land Rover and a push bike.

A Suffolk police spokesman said ambulance crews were taking the female, who is believed to be in her 40s, to hospital for further treatment after she complained of leg injuries.

An East of England Ambulance Trust spokeswoman confirmed the 45-year-old woman had suffered a fractured leg and has been taken to Ipswich Hospital.

The road reopened at 10.44am after being blocked in all directions for more than two hours.
