MILDENHALL Fen Tigers look set to fold.
The disappointing news for Tigers’ fans came after promoter Ray Mascall decided to withdraw his financial backing with immediate effect.
Despite potential buyers coming forward, none actually put an offer on the table and for that reason Mascall feels he can no longer continue to run the club.
“The situation has been going on and on,” he said.
“People keep saying to me ‘we want to take over’, but when we get down to details, nothing happens.
“Attendances are down and I just can’t keep putting money in.”
The Fen Tigers are due to be at Buxton on Sunday afternoon.
