MILDENHALL Art And Stitch Fen Tigers start their season in earnest this weekend starting with a tough looking away trip to arch rivals Rye House on Saturday Night.

Former Rye rider Dan Halsey comes in to guest for the unavailable Jerran Hart as the Fen men look for another win at Hoddesdon to replicate their early success last season however this year the Cobras look a different prospect with former Fen Tiger Jamie Smith spearheading their team along with the impressive Kyle Hughes they certainly will be no pushover.

Then on Sunday (5pm) their other local rivals Kings Lynn come to West Row in The Fen Tigers first home match of the year and will be keen to make up for their home reverse last week ironically to the men from Rye.

Mildenhall however will be confident of success on their own track and this season certainly look to have plenty of power through out their team but will be wary of former Fen Tiger James Brundle who certainly goes well around the Suffolk track and with five of the Kings Lynn riders already having previous experience of the track this year at the British Under 21 Qualifying round two weeks ago and indeed the winner of that event Scott Campos is also a Young Stars team member they cannot afford any complacency.

Co Chairman John Adams said” I am really looking forward to this weekend as we at last get our season started, they will two very tough meetings but are matches that we will be going to win as always and I know all of the riders are looking forward to them, it is unfortunate that Jerran cannot be with us at Rye but he is at Stoke riding for Scunthorpe so we have booked Danny Halsey who is very keen on doing a good job for us”
