Crews were first called to the blaze, in Cambridge Road, just before 2pm, to reports that 25-acres of stubble and loose straw were on fire, along with a baling machine.
The blaze has since spread to around 80-acres, however a spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service at Suffolk County Council, Cheryl Gray, said there was no threat to public safety.
She added that there were approximately 20 one-tonne bales alight.
There are currently four fire pumps and a water carrier at the scene.
