Fire crews have attended Glemsford Primary Academy near Sudbury after a ‘strong smell’ was found coming from a fuse box.
A crew from Long Melford were sent to the scene at around 9.55am today, Monday, December 4, along with engineers from UK Power Networks.
A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Glemsford Primary Academy on Lion Road because there was a strong smelling coming from the main fuse box.”
The power was isolated and the fire service called a stop to the incident at around 10.40am.
A spokeswoman for UK Power Networks said: “UK Power Networks engineers were called to Glemsford Primary Academy in Glemsford at 10.33am today to support the fire service by isolating power supplies.”
