FIREFIGHTERS have battled a blaze which engulfed a large quantity of crops.
Initially crews from Diss were sent to the scene, however additional crews from across Norfolk were requested at the open fire in Winfarthing Road, Shelfanger, at 1.30pm today.
More than three hectares of cut and standing crops was found alight.
Using hose reel jets and compressed air foams, firefighters battled the flames and brought the incident under control by 2.40pm.
