Fire crews called to recycling skip lorry on fire on A12 at Witham

Fire crews were called to the A12 at Witham this morning after a recycling skip lorry caught fire.

Essex Fire and Rescue was alerted at 7.18am and sent three fire engines to the southbound carriageway between junctions 23 and 22.

Crews used two hose reel jets to put out the flames by 9.13am.
