FIREFIGHTERS spent more than three hours tackling a blaze involving around 50 tonnes of baled paper tonight .Three fire engines were sent to the incident in the yard at SCA Recycling, in Victoria Road, Lowestoft, just after 6.
FIREFIGHTERS are tonight continuing to tackle a blaze involving around 50 tonnes of baled paper.
Three fire engines were initially sent to the incident in the yard at SCA Recycling, in Victoria Road, Lowestoft, just after 6.05pm.
They used two monitors, a hose reel jet and a water fog to tackle the flames.
A fire service spokeswoman later said that the crews were expected to stay on the scene into the night as the fire was “deep-seated”.
