SUFFOLK firefighters were called upon to tackle a fire which started in a hedgerow on a playing field.

The blaze broke out at around 8pm last night off St George's Avenue, in Leiston.
A fire crew arrived on scene soon afterwards and had the fire under control by 8.15pm.
Later, in Barrow, near Bury St Edmunds, two crews attended a car fire.
The alarm was raised at 9.51pm in Little Saxon Road.
The crews from Bury had extinguished the flames and declared the area safe by 10.25pm.
