Firefighters have battled through the night to tackle a blaze at a landfill site in Stanway.
Crews from Coggeshall, Manningtree and Billericay were called to the site in Warren Way at 6.16pm last night after waste caught fire.
Firefighters used two off-road vehicles and an on-site digger to gain access to the site.
They managed to surround and contain the blaze by 2.22am today, and firefighters remain on site this morning turning over and damping down.
