A NUMBER of properties have been damaged following a fire in a Suffolk town this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to Regent Street in Stowmarket at 12.51pm to reports of a fire in the first floor of a two-storey property.
On arrival they found a blaze involving an electrical panel which had spread from a hallway to the loft area.
The fire was extinguished at 1.25pm but firefighters then made entry into a second adjoining property where no fire was discovered.
However, three further properties were smoke damaged.
