FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze which engulfed the roof of a bungalow in Eye tonight.The fire broke out just after 11.15pm in Pine Close, and crews from Eye, Diss and Stradbroke were sent to the scene.

The fire broke out just after 11.15pm in Pine Close, and crews from Eye, Diss and Stradbroke were sent to the scene.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk fire service said the property measured 10 by 10 metres, and the roof was reported to be “well alight”.
At around 12.30am this morning crews were removing roof tiles and using thermal imaging cameras to check for hotspots, but the incident appeared to be under control.
