Fire in furnace at Amtek Aluminium, Witham

Fire crews in Witham extinguished a blaze at Amtek Aluminium in the early hours of this morning.

Two crews from the town were called to the fire in Freebournes Road, which involved a furnace, at 12.01am.

They used one hose reel to extinguish the fire by 12.39am.
