Firefighters were called to a blaze at a shed used by the Probation Service in Writtle, Essex
Two fire engines from Chelmsford were called to the incident in Ongar Road at 2.35am.
When they arrived crews found a shed used by the Probation Service behind Longmead House well alight.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to tackle the blaze.
The incident was dealt with by 03:20 hrs. A joint Police and Fire Service investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
