A man was air lifted to hospital with chest pains after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Essex.
Police, fire and ambulance crews - as well as the Essex Air Ambulance - were called to Hedingham Road, Halstead at around 11.35am.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to free one motorist from their vehicle by 12.20pm.
Paramedics treated a man and a woman at the scene.
The man was air lifted to Colchester General Hospital with chest pains and the woman was taken via land ambulance to Colchester General Hospital for leg injuries, an ambulance spokesman said.
