FIREFIGHTERS battled a field blaze which spread across 200 metres of straw.
A crew from Felixstowe were called at 11pm last night to Innocence Lane, in Trimley St Martin.
Police officers had alerted the fire service to the blaze, which had engulfed three small straw bails but had also spread to 200 metres of freshly cut straw in the field.
Firefighters used hoses and beaters to bring the flames under control by 11.30pm.
