FIREFIGHTERS in Colchester were presented with a sticky situation when a lorry-load of chocolate bars caught alight.
The blaze started in Queen Elizabeth Way in Monkwick at about 4.30am yesterday as thousands of Slimfastbars were lost to the flames.
Crews from Colchester and West Mersea wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire for more than 30 minutes but were unable to save the chocolate from melt down or the shell of the Volvo lorry.
A spokeswoman for Essex Fire Service said the blaze was being treated as suspicious.
