Firefighters extinguished a kitchen blaze in Silver End this afternoon.
The incident occurred in a mid terraced house in Western Road at 12.26pm.
One crew from Witham and one from Braintree attended the fire.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and using one hose reel had extinguished the fire by 12.55pm.
