A FIRE engulfing a large area of undergrowth has been extinguished in Ipswich this afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the incident at the rear of the old sugar beet factory in Sproughton Road in the town at 1.54pm.
A reed bed of 100 sq metres was found to be well alight and back pack and beater equipment were used to extinguish the blaze.
The crew left the scene at 2.24pm.
