FIRE has destroyed a large amount of food stock at a famous Suffolk smoke house.
The blaze took hold of the Richardson's Smoke House in Baker's Lane, Orford, near Ipswich, shortly before 11am today.
Fire engines from Saxmundham, Woodbridge and Orford attended the scene.
The fire damaged a significant amount of stock but the structure of the building is intact and the adjoining shop was unaffected and is open as usual.
