THE One Sixth Form College situated in the Pinebrook estate on the edge of Ipswich is already being used by local football clubs.

The site includes an artificial floodlit football pitch, and Ridgeons League Brantham Athletic are one of the sides who have already made use of the facilities.

And local footballers will also be able to benefit from a 4.5million five-a-side complex that is opening on Monday at Suffolk New College.

Located at Grimwade Street, the facility has 11 floodlit arenas featuring the latest artificial grass and will be running FA affiliated small-sided leagues open to everyone.

The project has been funded by the UK’s leading five-a-side centre operator, Goals Soccer Centres, who have around 40 centres across the UK and the USA.

Mary Gleave, associate principal Suffolk New College, said there was a demand for quality sports provision in the town centre. “There are no facilities like this in Ipswich. This facility will be a welcome addition to the region”.

Players can play for only 10 during the opening week with more information at 01473 300060 or www.goalsfootball.co.uk.
