It is due to be stripped from the 17-storey St Francis Tower in Ipswich from next week, and the removal process is expected to take six to eight weeks.
2. Grandfather dies after being found unconscious at Ipswich homeA 74-year-old grandfather has died after being found unconscious outside his home in Ipswich.
Witnesses following the death of a man who collapsed on the driveway of his home in Valley Road, Ipswich.
Clive Wyard, 74, was found by passers-by shortly at 7.15am on Friday, July 20, with injuries to his face and head.
He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, where he has since passed away.
3. More body cameras pledge as ‘unacceptable’ attacks on police riseA pledge has been made to invest more in body cameras amid a rise in the number of attacks on officers.
Suffolk police and crime commissioner Tim Passmore is pledging to do all he can to protect officers and staff after Home Office figures showed more than 300 assaults were reported in the county last year.
