1. Cladding to be stripped from St Francis Tower in Ipswich amid safety fears following Grenfell tragedyMaterial known as ‘cladding’ will be removed from Suffolk’s tallest occupied block of flats over safety fears prompted by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, we can reveal.

It is due to be stripped from the 17-storey St Francis Tower in Ipswich from next week, and the removal process is expected to take six to eight weeks.

Witnesses following the death of a man who collapsed on the driveway of his home in Valley Road, Ipswich.

Clive Wyard, 74, was found by passers-by shortly at 7.15am on Friday, July 20, with injuries to his face and head.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment, where he has since passed away.

3. More body cameras pledge as ‘unacceptable’ attacks on police riseA pledge has been made to invest more in body cameras amid a rise in the number of attacks on officers.
