A five-vehicle road traffic accident has caused delays on the A14 in Beyton.

The incident, which took place on the A14 heading westbound near junction 47, was reported around 8am this morning.

A lorry carrying sugarbeet was involved in the accident involving a grey Ford Mondeo, a white Mini, an Audi A4 and a Volvo C30.

A police spokesperson said an ambulance was called but there were not believed to be any injuries.

One lane that was closed has been re-opened, but motorists are advised there may be some residual delays in the area while two of the vehicles are recovered.
