A man in his 50s was taken to hospital following a crash on the A12 near Southwold.
The crash involved a single vehicle and happened at about noon yesterday at Henham.
The East Anglian Air Ambulance sent its Anglia One helicopter to the scene, where Dr Antonio Bellini and critical care paramedic Rod Wells worked with paramedics and fire crews to release the trapped man and treat his injuries.
Following an assessment, he was taken by land ambulance to the James Paget Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
