A FORMER Ipswich Town star has today been banned from driving after he was caught speeding.
Tommy Miller, who now plays for Sheffield Wednesday, was caught driving 48mph in a 30mph speed zone in Top Street, Martlesham, on March 27 this year.
He pleaded guilty to the offence and also to failing to produce a licence at South East Suffolk Magistrates' Court today.
Miller, 30, who now lives in Sheffield, played for Ipswich Town as midfielder for three stints throughout his career. He was transferred to Sheffield Wednesday over the summer.
Magistrates fined him 700 and he was ordered to pay costs of 45 and a victim surcharge of 15. He was given four penalty points on his licence, and as he already has nine points, magistrates disqualified him from driving for six months.
