TRANSPORT police have ruled out foul play after a 23-year-old man was struck by a train and killed.
British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Palgrave level crossing near Diss railway station last night.
Today a spokesman for BTP said: “BTP can confirm that a 23-year-old man from Diss died after being struck by a train at Palgrave level crossing near to Diss rail station on Wednesday 28 January.
“The train involved was the 19.00 London Liverpool Street to Norwich service. The incident, which was reported to police at 8.48pm, is being treated as non-suspicious.
“The line was handed back to Network Rail at 11.45pm.”
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
