Detectives are investigating two burglaries and two attempted break-ins in Clacton over the festive period.

Jewellery, a mobile phone, wallet and razor were stolen from a home in Melbourne Road between 7pm Christmas Eve and 12.30am Christmas Day. Suspects entered through a conservatory window.

A wallet, handbag containing cash and a Kindle were taken from a property in Magdalen Road between 4-6am on Boxing Day.

And suspects tried to break into two homes in Page Road between midnight December 27 and 9.50am on Monday. Nothing was stolen.

Anyone with information on the burglaries should call Clacton CID on 101.
