Fire crews have rescued a shire horse stuck in a ditch in Lakenheath.

The animal was near Wangford Road and a fire engine from Brandon, a rescue vehicle and the water incident vehicle from Bury St Edmunds, and a Unimog from Lowestoft South were all sent to rescue it at around 5.30pm.

The shire horse was found stuck in a water filled ditch from which it was rescued by 7.21pm.
