Four men from the London area have been released on police bail pending further inquiries after a suspected stolen vehicle was recovered in Bury St Edmunds, yesterday.
The quartet were taken to the police investigation centre in the town following the incident which involved a short pursuit by members of the Norfolk and Suffolk’s Roads Armed Policing Team and Road Casualty Reduction Team from the outskirts of Bury into the centre of the town.
The chase took place at 5.47pm yesterday as many people were returning home from work.
A police spokesman said this morning that the four men were arrested and taken to the PiC but later released on bail.
