Four-vehicle crash on the A14 after bicycles were laying in the road near Stowmarket

Four cars were involved in a crash when bicycles came off a vehicle travelling on the A14.

The collision happened just before 7pm on New Year’s Eve on the road near Stowmarket, Ipswich bound.

A spokeswoman for the police said: “There were reports of some bikes in the road, one of the drivers collided with one of the bikes and there appears to have then been a four vehicle road traffic collision.”

A rolling road block was set up while police worked at the scene and the bikes were cleared away.

Police said that no-one had been hurt in the crash and the had drivers exchanged insurance details.
