A charity dance is being held to raise funds for The Foxhall Centre Lavender Trust to mark its first anniversary.

The Trust, which provides day care services for vulnerable elderly people, was registered in April last year when Age UK Suffolk ceased providing its services.

The event, part of the Trust’s first anniversary celebrations, takes place at Greshams Social Club, in Tuddenham Road, from 7pm on Friday, March 16.

Yvonne Kane, The Foxhall Centre manager, said: “Fundraising is very important in enabling us to continue to provide this essential service to our local older people. “All proceeds from all of our fundraising events and activities goes directly to keeping the centre open.”

The event will include performances from local bands ‘Are We There Yet’ and ‘Talk of the Town’ as well as a hot buffet.
