A stretch of Suffolk road was closed after pressure from a burst water main lifted the surface.
Essex and Suffolk Water repaired the main in Fore Street, Framlingham, after it burst at about 4am today, but the pressure had bowed the surface over a 30-metre stretch.
The extent of repairs is still being investigated, with diversions via Fairfield Road and Station Road.
