Armoured knights on horseback are set to clash in an “epic battle of bravery and honour” at a Suffolk castle this weekend.
Framlingham Castle is hosting its Grand Medieval Joust on Saturday and Sunday when visitors will be invited to soak up the atmosphere and learn all about the era.
Georgina Hallett, assistant events manager, for English Heritage, said: “The Grand Medieval Joust at Framlingham Castle promises to be a great event and thrilling to watch, and there’ll also be a whole host of other activities for families to enjoy throughout the day.
“It’s the perfect way to round off the first week of the summer holidays, so come along and join us as we travel back in time and the castle is brought to life with the sights, sounds and smells of medieval life.”
The joust runs from 10.30am–5pm both days. Visit www.english-heritage.org.uk/framlingham to book online before Friday for 10% saving.
