A FOOTBALLER was airlifted to hospital after suffering a heart attack on the pitch.
The 49-year-old was playing at the sports field at Framlingham Sports Centre on Sunday when he fell ill.
Anglia One landed at 12.46pm and crews administered analgesia then flew him to the Coronary Care Unit at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital, landing at 1.35pm.
His condition on arrival was stable and he was taken straight into surgery.
